Jenna Johnson has been named the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for her performance in Utah's game against Cal State Fullerton.Â

This is the second straight week, Utah has taken home the freshman of the week honors. Last week, teammate
Gianna Kneepkens earned this honor.Â

The Medina, Minn. native had a career day against the Titans on Friday night. Johnson collected her first collegiate double-double to lead the Utes to their seventh season victory.Â

Against Cal State Fullerton, Johnson set career-highs in points (23), three-pointers made (3), rebounds (10), free throws made (8). She is the first Ute to record a double-double this season.Â

The 23 points is her fourth time scoring 20 or more points in a single game this season. This was the fourth time this season, Johnson led Utah in scoring and rebounding in a single game.Â

Utah returns to action on Saturday, December 18, when they play host to Utah Valley at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. MT. The game will be aired on UtahUtes.com and on 105.5 KOOL FM. The contest against Utah Valley is Salt Lake City Appreciation Day. All SLC residents receive free admission.
