SAN FRANCISCO – For the second time this season,
Gianna Kneepkens has been named the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week.

The Duluth, Minn. native made her third straight start at Oklahoma and played a career-high 31 minutes. She scored 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting to lead the Utes in scoring. This was her third time this season leading the team in scoring.

Besides scoring, Kneepkens collected five rebounds and one steal against the Sooners. She has scored in double-figures in six of the 11 games this season.
This is the third time this season Utah has taken home the freshman of the week honors. Kneepkens was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on Dec. 6, and
Jenna Johnson was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on Dec. 13.

On Friday, Dec. 31, Utah returns to action when they head to Eugene, Ore., to open Pac-12 play against Oregon. The Utes and Ducks tip at 8 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Networks. The game against Oregon will be aired on ESPN700 with Tyson Ewing calling the shots.Â
