Women's Basketball Climbs to No. 17 in AP Top 25

The Utes improved eight spots in the AP Top 25 Poll
SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah women's basketball team jumped to No. 17 in the AP Top 25 poll on Monday afternoon. This is the highest the Utes have been ranked since the 2018-19 season.
Utah made an eight-spot jump this week, going from No. 25 to No. 17. The Utes received 212 points.
Utah improved to 4-0 last week following a 46-point victory over then-No. 16 Oklahoma at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The Utes tied a school record for points in a game as they put up 124 points on the Sooners in the win. Utah shot 54.9 percent from the floor and made 13 three-pointers.
The Utes set a school record for points in a quarter in the win, scoring 41 in the third quarter. The offense was on fire in the third quarter as they shot 70 percent (14-for-20) from the floor and were 5-of-8 on three-pointers in the quarter.

Over the first four games of the season, Utah is averaging 102.0 points per game, the second-best mark in the nation. Utah also ranks second in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.04), third in field goal percentage (52.3%), fourth in scoring margin (44.5), and tied for fifth in three-pointers made per game (11.2).
Over the season's first four games, Alissa Pili leads the team with 18.0 points per game. Pili is also averaging 6.8 rebounds per game. Kennady McQueen and Gianna Kneepkens are the next two leading scorings for the Utes, as they average 15.8 points and 14.5 points per game, respectively.
