Lynne Roberts, Head Coach
Overall thoughts
"On defense we were fine. Arizona State runs an unorthodox style and I think we were fine. Offense we were horrible. It was a season low in points. Luckily, we played with a little more life in the second half. I thought we were ready to play today and we just came out uninspired. We've got to clean up some things because Arizona is gonna give us a fight."
On the grind of the season
"We've been close and could have won all three games that we've lost. We are still looking for that big win to spark us. This league is all about momentum and I feel like we haven't hit ours yet. I'm looking forward to playing well and putting together a complete game of basketball."
#22 Jenna Johnson, forward
On Utah's performance
"I feel like the last few games we've struggled. It's hard to be in someone else's atmosphere and competing on the road. Tonight it was nice to come in with a settled mindset 'we're on the road, let's get a win.' It was nice to handle that. At halftime, Coach [Lynne] Roberts was really honest and told us we have to come out differently and get back to Utah basketball and I think we finally found that in the third quarter."
On the team's strength
"Losing three games we're frustrated as competitors. When you look at who we've lost to it gives some perspective. We can look at it and know we're still a good team. We haven't had a game where we've had to prove ourselves yet so we are itching for that big breakthrough win. We're still trying to figure out as a team how to put a full game together and fire on all cylinders."
