SALT LAKE CITY —  The 2023-24 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom with Utah women's basketball placing four on the All-District Team in
Jenna Johnson, Ines Vieira,
Matyson Wilke and
Kennady McQueen.Â
This is Johnson and McQueen's second appearance on the CSC Academic All-District team with Vieira and Wilke receiving their first Academic All-District recognition of their careers.
Johnson is majoring in operation and supply chain management with a minor in strategic communications has earned a 3.99 cumulative GPA and has made an appearance on the Dean's List for four consecutive semesters.Â
Johnson played and started in all 34 games this season averaging 9.0 points per game shooting 50.2 percent from the field, 37.8 percent from the three and 67.4 percent from the free throw line. She averaged 5.6 rebounds per game and racked up 69 assists. Johnson was an honorable mention on the All-Pac-12 team this season.Â
McQueen is majoring in Kinesiology and has a 3.79 cumulative GPA. She has made an appearance on the Dean's List for six consecutive semesters.Â
McQueen started and played in all 34 games for the Utes this season. She averaged 10.7 points per game and shot 48.5 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from the three and 85.7 from the free throw line. She led the team in three pointers knocking down 67 on the year. McQueen was also named an honorable mention on the All-Pac-12 Team this season.Â
Wilke has a 3.95 cumulative GPA in one semester at Utah and is majoring in psychology. She was on the Dean's List in the Fall of 2024.Â
Wilke played in all 34 games this season and started in 13 games. She averaged 7.7 points per game and shot 39.0 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from the three and 80.0 percent from the free throw line.Â
Vieira has a 3.56 cumulative GPA and is majoring in management. Vieira played in all 34 games this season and started in 31. She led the team in assists recording an even 200 on the season averaging 5.8 per game. She also led the team in steals with 79 on the year. Vieira averaged 8.1 points per game and shot 42.2 percent from the field, 31.8 percent from the three. She also averaged 3.6 rebounds per game. She earned an honorable mention on the All-Pac-12 Defensive Team this season.Â
