Utes in the Pros: Week 6

SALT LAKE CITY – The calendar has turned to October and with that, Week 6 of the NFL's regular season is on the horizon.
Eight games this weekend are expected for feature at least one Utah connection on the field, as 28 Pro Utes are on NFL teams and 17 Utah Football alumni are on active rosters.

Week 6 Viewing Guide (players on active rosters)
Jaguars linebacker Devin Lloyd continues to enjoy a great season, now totaling four interceptions—his latest was a 99-yard pick-six on Monday Night Football against Kansas City. Lloyd, a fourth-year pro, now leads the league in interceptions. Jacksonville's win put the squad into a tie for the AFC South lead.
Buffalo, the league's last undefeated team, suffered its first loss of the season in Week 5 but still is atop the AFC East with Cole Bishop, Dalton Kincaid and Mitch Wishnowsky chipping in for the Bills. A plethora of Utah connections are in the mix atop the AFC West with Denver and the LA Chargers sharing the top spot—for the Broncos, Garett Bolles, Jonah Elliss, Caleb Lohner (practice squad) and Karene Reid are on the roster. Thomas Yassmin is a member of the Chargers' practice squad.
In the NFC, Sione Vaki and the Detroit Lions are off to a 4-1 start to lead the NFC North, while Britain Covey is with the East-leading Eagles as a practice squad contributor.
Utah continues to be represented in the pro coaching ranks with a pair of alumni on the sidelines. Alex Whittingham is in his eighth season in the Kansas City Chiefs organization and first as assistant defensive line coach, while Brian Johnson is in his second season as the Washington Commanders' assistant head coach and offensive pass game coordinator.
