Utes in the Pros: Week 16

SALT LAKE CITY – The NFL's regular season is down to the final three weeks and several teams with Utah Football alumni are either right in the playoff hunt or on the bubble.
Seventeen Pro Utes are slated to suit up in Week 16, highlighted by an AFC clash of division leaders as Jacksonville heads out to the Mile High City to take on Denver. Four combined Utah alumni are on those two active rosters, including Devin Lloyd and Tim Patrick of Jacksonville matching up against Garett Bolles and Jonah Elliss with the Broncos.
Lloyd and Elliss spent the 2021 season together with the Utes, while Bolles and Patrick were at the U for the 2016 campaign. In addition, Bolles and Patrick had a stint together with the Broncos.
Including practice squad members and players on injured reserve, 26 Utah alumni are with NFL clubs entering Week 16.

Utah continues to be represented in the pro coaching ranks with three alumni on the sidelines. Alex Whittingham is in his eighth season in the Kansas City Chiefs organization and first as assistant defensive line coach, while Brian Johnson is in his second season as the Washington Commanders' assistant head coach and offensive pass game coordinator. In addition, former Utah quarterback Mike McCoy is currently leading the Tennessee Titans as interim head coach.
