SALT LAKE CITY — Utah women's basketball is excited to participate in the 12th annual Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Showcase in the 2025-26 season. The showcase will adopt a tournament-style format for the first time on Nov. 21 and 23 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tuesday.
The Utes will take on reigning national champions UConn in the first round Nov. 21. Utah will face either Syracuse or Michigan on Nov. 23.
"We are excited to play in this year's Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Showcase," head coach Gavin Petersen said. "It's always an elite level of competition and a great opportunity to test ourselves early. This year is no exception and will prove to be a great event showcasing women's basketball."
This will be the first-ever meeting between UConn and Utah. The Utes have a 1-1 overall record with Michigan and have never faced Syracuse.
