SALT LAKE CITY – With three weeks of preseason in the rearview mirror, it's time for the NFL's regular season to kick off.
As Week 1 approaches, there are 28 Utah Football alumni on NFL rosters with 17 Pro Utes expected to suit up throughout the slate of games. Ten games across every timeslot on Sunday feature at least one program alumnus, while Monday Night Football is set to feature former all-American and All-Pac-12 cornerback Jaylon Johnson as the Chicago Bears begin their season at home.
The active-rostered former Utah Utes include Connor O'Toole (Seattle) and Karene Reid (Denver), both of whom begin their rookie season after signing with their clubs as undrafted free agents.

In addition to the Utah alumni contributing on field, two more former Utah Utes are serving in coaching roles. Alex Whittingham is beginning his eighth season in the Kansas City Chiefs organization and first as assistant defensive line coach, while Brian Johnson is back with the Washington Commanders for his second year as assistant head coach and offensive pass game coordinator.
