MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Utah men's tennis team fell 4-2 to Rice in their second game of the Battle of Boro Saturday morning.
The Owls secured the doubles point advantage to start the match off. Rice picked up a win at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles spot to start things off. In the No. 1 spot Dante Teramo and Balthazar Huss were trailing 5-2 against No. 83 Petro Kuzmenok and Santiago Navarro before the match was left unfinished.
In singles action at the No. 3 spot, Simeon Terziev won his match against the Owls' Tommy Czaplinski 6-3, 6-2. The Owls answered by picking up a win at the No. 5 spot.
At the No. 6 spot Charles Frey picked up a win against Vair Sarouk, winning 7-6 (3), 6-4. Rice then secured victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 spot to secure the overall match 4-2 victory for the Owls.
At the No. 4 spot, Lorenzo Esquic's match against Gabriel Porras was left unfinished with Esquici leading the match 6-4, 4-6, 2-1.
Utah is now 3-6 overall on the season.

The Utes will play their last match of the Battle In Boro against Old Dominion on Saturday, Feb. 22.
