Made 24 appearances—all in relief—totaling 26.1 innings on the bump with a 1-4 record.
Had a 3.08 ERA and struck out 26 batters against only three walks and a .240 opposing batting average.
Closed out both wins in the Washington State series (March 9-10) as well as the comeback victory over Oregon State (March 17).

Pitched 34.2 innings over his 23 relief appearances, finishing with a 1-3 record, 3.63 ERA and 38 strikeouts against only five walks.
Solid option late in games with six of his nine saves going longer than an inning.
Closed out the first two games of the Washington State sweep, then pitched an inning in the series finale (April 28-30).
Went five up, five down with two strikeouts in the series-opening save at No. 15 Oregon State (May 5).
Struck out four of five batters in extra innings at No. 23 UCLA (April 8).
2022 – Freshman
Southpaw made 25 appearances (two starts) with a 2-1 record and 3.29 ERA in 27.1 innings on the bump, earning 29 strikeouts.
His 25 total appearances were second-most on the team, and his eight games finished ranked third-most on the club.
Season-high of three strikeouts came in five different appearances.
Made his first start as a Ute in the game vs. Northern Colorado (March 22), starting the game at BYU (May 17) as well.
First collegiate win came in relief during the Washington State series opener (April 1) in a 1.2-inning outing.
Dealt the final two innings in the walk-off win vs. BYU (April 19), striking out three.
Longest appearance of the season was three innings in the Mercer series finale (March 27).
Prior to Utah
Played scholastically at Jordan High School for head coach Chad Fife.
Won a state championship his freshman year.
Also played basketball, and went to the state finals on the court his sophomore year.

Son of John and Marinda Ashman.
Has four siblings, Hannah, Jayk, Sam and Zach.
Father (football) and mother (volleyball) each were student-athletes at BYU.
Changed his jersey number to No. 57 prior to the 2024 season, matching his father's football jersey number at BYU.
