HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time second-team all-state at Spanish Fork HS (Utah) … 2014 Region 8 Offensive MVP and 2013 Region 8 Co-Outstanding Player … three-time all-region … two-time All-Valley Elite 11 … set the Utah state record for single-game rushing yards by a quarterback with 435 vs. Maple Mountain in 2014, which was third all-time among all positions … still ranks in the top 10 in state history in career passing attempts (941, 5th), completions (502, 9th) and total offense (9,243, 7th) … threw for 1,493 yards (138-of-262) with 11 touchdowns as a senior … also rushed for 1,243 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2014 … 1,824 yards passing (12 TDs) and 1,179 yards rushing (15 TDs) in 2013 … as a sophomore, had 2,768 yards passing (26 TDs) and 491 yards rushing (4 TDs) … Spanish Fork was the 2012 Utah 3A state runner-up … team captain … academic all-state in football, baseball and basketball … Spanish Fork won the 2015 4A state championship in baseball and finished second in 2014.
