PRIOR TO UTAH: Two-time second-team All-Orange Empire Conference soccer player at Cypress College from 2013-14 … scored six goals with two assists for 14 points in 21 games as a sophomore in 2014 … participated in football, soccer and track at Cypress HS (Calif.) … 67 tackles, three interceptions, eight pass breakups, one forced and one recovered fumble as a senior in 2008 … also made 5-of-8 field goals and 32 PATs in 2008 … 75 tackles and two interceptions his junior season … captained both the football and soccer teams at Cypress High … all-county and two-time all-league soccer player won first-team honors as a senior in 2008 … had 11 goals and two assists for 24 points as a freshman … also competed track, finishing fourth in the league in the pole vault as a senior.
