Biography

2020-21 Season (Graduate Student)
• ITA Scholar-Athlete
• Compiled a 13-14 overall singles record and 11-15 doubles record in his final season at Utah
• Won six straight matches early in the season, which included wins on court one over opponents from SMU, Denver and Drake
• Straight set win over Drake’s Oliver Johansson (6-4, 6-4) helped Utah record a 4-3 road victory
• Downed Filip Malbasic of No. 20 Arizona on court three 7-5, 6-4 to guide Utah to an upset over the Wildcats
• Earned seven singles wins on court one, and posted three each on courts two and three
• Played the final half of the season at the top doubles position with partner Francisco Bastias where the duo recorded six wins
• He and Bastias knocked off Pac-12 top duos from No. 27 Arizona State (6-3), No. 49 Oregon (6-3) and No. 18 UCLA (6-2)
• Paired with Mathias Gavelin at the start of the season and played primarily on court two where the duo won four matches, highlighted by wins over duos from SMU (6-4) and Boise State (6-4)
 
2019-20 Season (Senior): 
• ITA Scholar-Athlete
• Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll
• Team Captain and earned team’s MVP award
• Finished the shortened season due to COVID-19 with a team-best 13-2 overall record in singles play, including a 9-1 record at the No. 3 position
• Defeated Joe Tyler of No. 23 Iowa (6-3, 5-7, 6-2) to clinch the upset over the Hawkeyes
• Compiled a 9-1 singles record against Mountain Region opponents in spring play
• Beat Purdue’s Michal Wozniak 6-2, 6-3 and East Tennessee State’s Juan Lugo 6-7,6-4, 6-4 to begin a five-match winning streak
• Finished the season with six consecutive singles wins
• Other notable victories came against the No. 3’s from New Mexico and Loyola Marymount
• Partnered with Azat Hankuliyev in doubles action and posted a 10-5 dual record, which included a 7-1 mark in the No. 3 position
• Won three straight doubles matches to open the season in the No. 3 slot, including a 6-2 win over a duo from Tulsa
• Downed No. 23 Iowa’s Matt Clegg/Joe Tyler 7-6 to secure the doubles point
• Went 9-2 in doubles matches at home with eight of the wins coming against Mountain Region opponents

2018-19 Season (Junior)
• ITA Scholar-Athlete
• First-team Pac-12 All-Academic
• Finished the season ranked No. 16 in the ITA Mountain Region in singles
• Went 11-10 overall in singles dual play, including going 8-8 on the No. 3 court
• Five match win streak from Jan. 19 to Feb. 9
• Clinched Utah’s win over Miami with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-1 win over No. 58 Bojan Jankulovski
• Provided the match winning point against Montana with a 7-6, 5-7, 6-0 victory over Ludvig Hallgren
• Had back-to-back wins over Mateusz Smolicki (6-3, 3-6, 7-6) of UC Irvine and Gary Vardanyan (7-5, 3-6, 6-4) of Cal Poly
• Posted overall doubles dual record of 10-13, playing primarily on court one with David Micevski
• Decisive 6-3 win over the No. 17 ranked doubles team out of Cal and also beat Stanford’s No. 1 doubles team 6-3
• Six singles wins during the fall season, including over Andrew Mariados of Notre Dame.

2017-18 Season (Sophomore)
• ITA Scholar-Athlete
• First-team Pac-12 All-Academic
• Seven doubles wins in dual matches this season
• Opened the season with a win over Rok Sitar of Montana State at the No. 2 position
• Back-to-back wins over the No. 3 at Idaho State (6-1, 6-2) and No. 4 at No. 71 Wichita State (3-6, 6-2, 6-2)
• Also had singles wins over Pacific and Northern Arizona
• Beat Kyle Pease at the No. 2 position against Northern Colorado
• Advanced it to the Round of 16 in doubles at the ITA Mountain Regional with Randy Cory with wins over Weber State and Montana State

2016-17 Season (Freshman)
• ITA Scholar-Athlete
• Earned 15 victories in singles play for the Utes
• Earned Pac-12 victories over Arizona's Shoki Kasahara, 7-5, 6-0 and Washington's Gal Hakak, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1
• Won five of six matches at the Utah Invitational, including a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Sam Serrano of No. 45 Utah State
• Picked up three wins at the ITA Mountain Regional, all in straight sets
• Advanced to the round of 16 at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic with a win over Pepperdine's Guilherme Galvao, 6-1, 6-0
• Captured four doubles matches with Santiago Sierra and Egbert Weverink, as well as three with Azat Hanuliyev
• Earned a pair of wins at the Utah Invitational with Dan Little and advanced to the round of 16 at the ITA Mountain Regional with an 8-6 win over Victor Casadevall and Peter Mimnagh-Fleming of Montana

Prior to Utah
• Runner up at the Russian National Junior Championships in singles
• National champion in doubles
• Won the doubles championship at the ITF G2 Ozerov Cup
• Placed among the top-four in the junior national rankings and ranked as high as No. 482 in the ITF World Junior rankings
• Was a member of Team Moscow in 2015, winning the Sports Festival
• Also trained and played in the United States at the Weil Tennis Academy
• Ranked as high as No. 48 in the nation
• Defeated former Ute Ace Matias when he ranked No. 1 in the country
