Preseason News and Notes
Utah was picked to finish seventh in the Pac-12 Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, it was announced Oct. 24 during the annual Media Day event at the Pac-12 Network Studios. Utah accumulated 59 points in the poll to earn seventh for the second straight year. Read the full release here.The Utes will take on a competitive schedule in 2013-14 that includes seven games against four teams that earned a spot in last season's NCAA Tournament, while three of those teams made it through to at least the Sweet 16. Senior forward Michelle Plouffe was selected to the Sporting News Preseason All-American Third Team.
Plouffe has been on the Associated Press All-American Team as an honorable mention selection each of the last two seasons and is on pace to become the third player in Utah history to reach 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.
