The Basics: The University of Utah women's basketball officially opens the 2017-18 season at home against the Nevada Wolf Pack on Friday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. It is the fifth straight season that Utah has opened at home.
Home Openers: Utah is 2-0 when opening the season at home under the direction of head coach
Lynne Roberts, beating Montana State (74-64) in 2016 and South Dakota (66-59) in 2015. The Utes are 19-3 all-time when opening the season in Salt Lake City, including eight straight.
About the Wolf Pack: Nevada enters the season picked to finish 10th in the Mountain West this season. The Wolf Pack finished 10th in the league standings last season (11-19 overall, 5-14 in conf.). They return three starters to the court this season under new head coach Amanda Levens. Levens has Pac-12 ties after serving as an associate head coach at Arizona State for the past five seasons.

Game Promotions: Utah's season-opener against Nevada serves as the first "High School Night" of the season with the Utes welcoming high school girls basketball teams to the Jon M. Huntsman Center. There will also be a KidsZone where fans can create their own poster and draw on coloring pages. The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a 2017-18 women's basketball schedule magnet and all fans who attend the women's game can stick around to watch the men's game (Utah vs. Prairie View A&M, 8 p.m.) for free by moving to the upper bowl.

Lynne Roberts will hold a weekly press conference every Wednesday at 10 a.m. starting on Nov. 1. Fans can tune-in on Facebook Live from the Utah Women's Basketball Facebook account.

Utah vs. the Mountain West: Utah is 334-80 all-time against the current members of the Mountain West Conference that includes a winning record against all 11 teams. The Utes are 6-0 against Nevada with the Wolf Pack joining the Mountain West Conference the season after the Utes left for the Pac-12.
Last time Out: The Utes beat Carroll College in its only exhibition game of the season, 70-46.
Megan Huff led the Utes in scoring with 20 points while
Emily Potter and
Kiana Moore chipped in 10 each. Potter led Utah in rebounding with 12 while
Erika Bean dished out five assists.
Season Openers: Utah is 31-12 all-time in season openers since the program began in 1974-75. Utah is 2-0 in season openers with
