SEATTLE, Wash. – Utah hung on with the No. 11 team in the nation, but Washington rallied behind Kelsey Plum's 57 points as the Utes fell 84-77 Saturday afternoon inside Alaska Airlines Arena.
Utah (16-13, 5-13) was led by senior wing
Paige Crozon with 22 points including five 3-pointers while pulling down seven rebounds and dishing out four assists.

Emily Potter also finished in double figures for the Utes. Boclair scored 15 points including a perfect performance, 9-9, from the foul line and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Potter scored 12 points, all from field-goal range.
Utah out-rebounded the Huskies with 39 boards including 15 offensive rebounds for seven second chance points.
The Huskies (27-4, 15-3) were paced by the league's leading scorer senior guard Plum scoring 57 points, With the offensive performance, Plum is the NCAA all-time leading scorer for 3,395 career points.
"I was really proud of our team and we answered, but Washington has a player who is really unstoppable in Kelsey Plum and she took over in the fourth quarter," head coach
Lynne Roberts said. "We played really well and had it been any other opponent, I think we win this game. We need to build on today and carry how we're playing into the Pac-12 Tournament."
Utah took advantage of winning the tipoff as Crozon connected on a 3-pointer in front of the Washington bench to open the game. The Huskies responded with a 7-0 run as Utah missed its next four field-goal attempts. Potter passed the ball to sophomore guard
Erika Bean for a layup to trail, 7-5. The Huskies quickly pulled ahead 13-5, but Utah responded with a 5-0 run to trail 13-10 midway through the first quarter. Boclair drove to the basket, breaking the Washington defense, to make it a 14-12 ball game before the first media timeout.
Crozon was fouled on a drive to the hoop before the timeout and scored both free-throws to tie the game at 14 a piece. The Huskies went on a 6-0 run – a 3-pointer, a free-throw and a jump shot – for a 6-point lead. Boclair made her way to the foul line for two more points and Washington's Plum scored a layup and Osahor made two free-throws before time expired for a Huskie 24-16 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Washington was able to open the second quarter with five points and a 13-point lead over the Utes. The Huskies pulled out to a 15-point lead on an agile move from Osahor and Potter responded with two points on the Utes' end of the floor. Crozon hit her second 3-pointer of the game and freshman guard
Kiana Moore grabbed a steal and a spinning layup for the Utes to trail 34-25.
Utah's defense made a surge as Boclair picked up a charge and Moore forced a turnover by the Huskies. Moore drove through the Huskie defense for another layup – Utes down 36-29. With the Huskies up seven, 38-31, Utah poked the ball free and Bean grabbed herself a fast-break layup.
More impactful defense from the Utes forced a shot clock violation by Washington as the Utes went into the locker room down five, 40-35, against the No. 11 team in the nation. Utah held Washington without a field goal in the final six minutes of the first half.
Washington was on the board first in the second half with three points, but Crozon answered with three of her own and Potter hit a jump shot as the Utes climbed within three points, 43-40. Washington went on a 10-2 run to pull out to a 52-42 lead midway through the third quarter.
After a four-minute scoring drought from the Utes and a 12-0 run by the Huskies junior wing
Malia Nawahine drilled a 3-pointer to trail 59-45.
Tilar Clark came into the game late in the third quarter for five points as the Utes made four of their last five field goals to trail 62-52.
The possession arrow was in favor of the Huskies to open the fourth quarter, but the Utes were first on the board as Nawahine made her way to the foul line for two points to make it a single-digit lead, 62-54. Crozon took a charge on the defensive end in hopes to spur some momentum for the Utes, but Plum drilled back-to-back 3-pointers to pull out to a 70-56 lead.
Washington reached a 78-62 lead before the Utes responded with a 7-0 run as the Huskies struggled from field-goal range making 1-of-5 from the floor. Crozon drilled her sixth 3-pointer of the game to make it a 10-point game with just over a minute of action to play.
Boclair and
Wendy Anae scored for the Utes late in the game, but Washington claimed the 84-77 win behind Plum's 57-point performance.
