The Basics: The University of Utah women's basketball team is set for the final week of the regular season as they head to Los Angeles, Calif. The Utes gets things started at USC on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. MT (Pac-12 Mountain, Pac-12 LA) followed by a stop at UCLA on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. MT.
On The Road: Utah is 19-17 on the road under the direction of head coach Lynne Roberts (7-4 in 2017-18, 6-6 in 2016-17, 6-7 in 2015-16).
About the Trojans: The USC Trojans head into the week with an identical record to the Utes at 17-10, but are behind in the conference standings at 7-9. They are coming off a weekend where they lost to both Oregon and Oregon State after sweeping the Arizona's at home. The Women of Troy currently have four players averaging double digits, led by Kristen Simon who is putting up 17.7 points per game. On the defensive side of the ball, USC ranks fifth in scoring defense and first in steals (11.1 per game).
About the Bruins: The UCLA Bruins come into the weekend with a 21-6 overall record, sitting in a tie for third in the conference at 12-4 after two overtime losses in a row (Oregon State and Oregon). The Bruins bring the second-best offense in the Pac-12 to the table with 74.8 points per game in conference play. They have three players averaging double-figures with Jordin Canada putting up 16.0 points per game and is second in the conference in assists with 6.7 per game.

Last time Out: Utah's second half surge propelled them to an 81-46 win over Washington on Sunday, giving them eight conference wins this season. It was a one-point game to start the third quarter, but a 23-4 run gave Utah complete control of the game. Tori Williams led the Utes in scoring with a career-high 29 points that included seven made threes. Emily Potter added a double-double with 18 points and a season-high tying 16 boards.
Freshman of the Week (2/19): Tori Williams earned her second Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honor for her performances against Washington and Washington State. She scored a career-high 29 points against Washington, the most a true freshman has scored under the direction of head coach Lynne Roberts.
Defensive Difference: With Utah's 81-46 win over Washington (2/18), the Utes are 27-2 when holding an opponent to 60 points or less under the direction of Lynne Roberts. Utah has held 11 of its opponents to less than 60 points this season.
Two More: Senior Emily Potter tied her season-high in rebounds with 16 against Washington (2/18). It gives her 998 in her career, making her just two away from having 1,000 career boards. She would be just the sixth player in school history to achieve the feat.
Sevens: Tori Williams knocked down a career-high seven three-pointers against Washington (2/18), tying the Jon M. Huntsman Center record for threes in a game. She is just the sixth player in program history to hit seven threes in the Huntsman. It was also the 17th time this season she has had two-or-more threes in a game, giving her 53 total to rank first among Pac-12 freshmen.
