Opponent Notes
The UNLV Rebels are coming off of their Mountain West Conference opener against San Diego State, suffering a loss to the Aztecs with a score of 4-3. The hosts opened by taking a spirited doubles session, getting a win on court two from Eric Samuelsson and Clayton Alenik and then clinching it when Alexandr Cozbinov and Courtney Lock won at the top of the lineup. The Rebels have won the doubles point in three straight matches but have won only one of those outings. Moving to singles play, UNLV won the first set on half the courts and eventually took a 3-2 lead before SDSU won both three-setters to claim the overall victory.Â
