HOME SWEET HUNTSMAN
Utah holds an all-time home record of 540-131 (.805), and have won 9 of their last 10 home games. The Utes boast nine undefeated home seasons at the Jon M. Huntsman Center, and put together a 28-game home winning streak that stretched from Jan. 12, 1995 to Feb. 8, 1997.
OPENING TIP
• The Utes moved up two spots to 13th in this week's AP poll and one spot to 13th in the USA Today Coaches poll. Both are the program's highest positions since being slotted at 12th in the March 10, 2008 AP poll and 13th in that week's Coaches poll.
• Utah is the nation's No. 2 scoring team (93.3 ppg), one of five major statistical categories in which the Utes boast a top-4 ranking nationally: No. 1 in field-goal percentage (53.3) and assists (21.1), No. 3 in scoring margin (+33.1) and No. 4 in assist/turnover ratio (1.53).
• This week's NCAA NET rankings place the Utes at No. 6, second-best among Pac-12 teams behind Stanford (2). Utah is one of just 10 schools whose women's and men's basketball programs both rank in the top 25 of their respective NET rankings. Utah's men rank 18th.
• Utah has topped the century mark twice this season, and scored 90 or more points five times. The Utes scored 100+ three times last season and scored 90 or more eight times.
• Junior forward
Alissa Pili has scored 25 or more points in each of the past three games, including back-to-back 28-point games Dec. 1 (at MVSU) and Dec. 10 (at BYU). She's the first Utah player to score 25+ in three consecutive games since 2009-10.
• Pili, who was named Pac-12 Player of the Week Nov. 28, ranks third in the nation (No. 1 Pac-12) in field-goal percentage at 70.1%, and is 11th in scoring (2nd Pac-12) at 21.3 per game. • Utah has made 8 or more three-pointers in six games this season, and 92 times in Head Coach
Lynne Roberts' tenure with the Utes, compiling a record of 67-25 in those games.
• The Utes lead the nation in assists (21.1), including a season-best 33 against No. 16 Oklahoma, and have assisted on 63.1 percent of made field goals.
• Utah's 46-point victory over No. 16 Oklahoma (11/16) was the program's largest win margin vs. an AP Top 25 team, and the largest for a Pac-12 team against a ranked foe since 1999-00.
• Preseason Watch Lists: Soph.
Gianna Kneepkens (Jersey Mike's Naismith Award/nation's top player; and Cheryl Miller Award/top small forward) and Jr.
Alissa Pili (Katrina McClain Award for the top power forward).
