TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Utah men's tennis team fell to the No. 11 Arizona Wildcats 4-0 Thursday afternoon.
Utah is now 13-9 overall on the season and sits at 2-4 in Big 12 play.
DOUBLES
Arizona got the quick jump on Utah by capturing the doubles point. The Wildcats picked up wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Nicolas Calixto and Emmett Potter were down 3-5 before their set went unfinished.
SINGLES
Utah couldn't get any momentum in singles action. The Wildcats picked up wins in the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots in the lineup to clinch the match 4-0. Emmett Potter won his first set 7-5 on the No. 3 court but was down 0-1 in the second before it went unfinished.
UP NEXT
The Utes will travel south to BYU for a rivalry match up on April 10 before heading to the Big 12 Championships April 16-20.
