SCOUTING THE COUGARS
No. 64 BYU enters the match with a 12-8 overall record and a 1-6 mark in Big 12 play, currently riding a four-match losing streak. The Utes and Cougars have met three times previously, with BYU winning all three. In their most recent matchup, Utah fell 4-1 to the Cougars in April 2021.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah fell 4-0 to No. 11 Arizona on the road Thursday afternoon, dropping to 13-9 overall and 2-4 in Big 12 play.
The Wildcats claimed the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. In singles, Arizona clinched the match with straight-set victories at the No. 4, 5, and 6 spots.
Emmett Potter provided a bright spot for the Utes, taking the first set 7-5 on court three before his match was left unfinished.

Utah is currently ranked No. 52 in the nation in the latest ITA poll, continuing to build momentum throughout the season. In singles,
Berk Bugarikj holds a national ranking of No. 97, showcasing his strong individual performances this season. In doubles,
Reid Jarvis and
Dante Teramo have earned national recognition, coming in at No. 74 in the ITA doubles rankings. The duo has been a strong presence at the top of Utah's doubles lineup, delivering key victories throughout the season.
HEAD COACH ROELAND BRATEANU
Utah Head Coach
Roeland Brateanu, the 2023 Pac-12 Coach of the Year and a five-time ITA Mountain Region Coach of the Year, leads the Utes for his eleventh season this spring. Under Brateanu's leadership, the Utah men captured the 2023 Pac-12 Regular Season title and secured their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance, advancing to its second consecutive second round appearance with a win over Old Dominion. The Utes finished with a 24-6 overall record and a No. 1 ranking in the ITA Mountain Region. Brateanu currently holds a 183-106 overall record at Utah.
