Bio
Simmons Notes: Started at setter during the 2008 and 2009 seasons ... is now back to 100 percent after thumb injury in preseason camp last season ... runs the offense very well and has a good feel for her hitters and teammates ... playing at a much higher level than when she finished her sophomore year because she is a year stronger and quicker.
2010: Redshirt season due to thumb injury.
2009: Appeared in all 29 matches and all 110 sets ... made 20 starts ... finished 10th in the Mountain West Conference with 5.43 assists per set ... led team with 597 assists ... had six double-doubles, including 24 assists and a career-high 14 digs at BYU (10/23) ... came up with a career-high 16 digs at Long Beach State (11/28) ... had a career-high 33 assists to go with 12 digs for first double-double in 2009 at Utah St. (9/8) ... had 31 assists and had 12 digs in first match against BYU (9/25) ... registered 193 total digs for a 1.75-dig-per-set average ... recorded double figures in digs six times ... turned in first kill of season against No. 25 Arizona (9/11) ... served career-high three aces against Cincinnati (8/29) and Air Force (9/17) ... registered a career-high two kills at Air Force (11/21) ... had a block assist at Utah Valley (9/4).
2008: Appeared in 30 matches with three starts ... led or tied for team lead in assists nine times ... distributed a career-high 31 assists and credited with first and only career kill in first career start against Florida Gulf Coast ... dished out a conference career-high 27 assists in win over BYU (11/14) ... had at least 20 assists in eight matches, including three straight from Nov. 6-14 ... reached double-digits in assists in final 22 matches of the season ... came up with a career-high 10 digs in win over No. 15 Colorado State .... recorded a pair of two-block matches: against Florida Gulf Coast (9/6) and Wyoming (9/20) ... served one ace in four different matches ... Academic All-MWC.
