PRIOR TO UTAH: Attended Piedmont Community College part-time in 2015 but did not play football … 2013 MECK 4A All-Conference … rushed for 1,159 yards on 188 carries (6.2 ypc) and scored 18 rushing touchdowns as a senior at William Amos Hough HS in 2013 … also caught 20 passes for 266 yards (13.3 ypr) … played defensive back as a sophomore and junior … 25 tackles, four pass breakups, two interceptions and a forced fumble in 2014 … three interceptions and 10 tackles as a sophomore … played point guard on the William Amos Hough basketball team as a sophomore … also ran track.
PERSONAL: Son of Adrian and Tonia Murrell … both parents went to college at West Virginia, where his father played running back from 1990-92 … father played nine seasons in the NFL with the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys … two sisters … full name is Tylan Anthony Murrell.
